When Only Both Will Do

dog with two bones

The dog’s agenda is simple, fathomable, overt: I want. “I want to go out, come in, eat something, lie here, play with that, kiss you. There are no ulterior motives with a dog, no mind games, no second-guessing, no complicated negotiations or bargains, and no guilt trips or grudges if a request is denied.

Boca's wants are clear and true. She wants what you're having. She wants to lay in the nearest sunbeam, or on either monogrammed dog bed (she can't read, so Ruby's is fair game, too). She wants to sleep in, but only after breakfast is served. Most of all, she doesn't want to have to choose - she wants to have her bone and chew it too.

    1. Molly Mutt is so fantastic - they are always coming out with cute new designs but the duvet covers last so long that we don't often need new ones! I bought these during their Black Friday sale and waited until their old ones got threadbare before switching out.

  2. Aw, what a fun and creative post. It put a smile on my face and makes me want to curl up with Boca and her bone.

  3. I absolutely love those beds! McKenzie Rae is the same way.

    1. We love them, too! These are their second duvet covers from Molly Mutt, the others were getting threadbare but outlasted any other dog beds. I really like that they can be stuffed with old sheets, blankets, etc. and completely washed!

  4. Boca is so cute! Zoe agrees with her!
