Foot Warmer

Overnight, we've felt the seasons change. Our evening dog walks require a jacket and the gilded light is slanting through the leaves as they turn autumnal shades of coin and clamor to the ground. One of the things I dislike about winter is that once I get chilled, it sometimes feels like I will stay frozen forever. Ruby has many self-imposed terrier responsibilities in this life and I'm grateful that she considers foot-warming one of them as we march headlong into the colder months together.

  1. I love to cuddle up and suck the warmth from dog bodies. It is the least they can do for me.

  2. We feel the change of seasons here too. And I hear ya-the house is chilly in the morning and it takes me forever to warm up. Doggie body warmers are the best!

  3. I also call this "Kiss Your Side of the Bed Goodbye" season. Blueberry likes to snuggle up against me, but in so doing, she usually ends up pushing me onto a tiny 8 inch wide space. I am thinking of having bed rails installed because I am sure that this will be the year I fall to the floor whilst sleeping. I can just hear it now, "Hey, how'd you break your arm?" "My dog pushed me off the bed" "Wow, you must have a big dog! How much does she weigh?" "Um...37 pounds..." "....."

  4. I've got one of those but just when it's getting nice and warm - he moves!! I've got to train him to stay there longer.

  5. Aw, how cute! I wish Haley was a foot warmer but somewhere along the line, she got the impression that feet under the covers are moles or something. She'll jump up and move even if she can see it's your foot, haha!

  7. Aw, I need a footwarming dog. When my feet get cold, they do not get warm again for a long time. I use chemical toe warmers, because neither of my dogs is as helpful as Ruby!

  9. Aw, I might need to borrow that little fuzzy neck. Looks like the perfect size for my feet!
